The base versions are the openers of a car series. The just introduce a series that would it be. While the cream version sits at the top with everything that comes with that car. Or at least most of the things that are offered in that series. Well, almost every car has a base version, a mediocre trim, and an upper version. Whether you pick a hatchback, a sedan or an SUV you will get a variation in models.

Similarly, Alfa Romeo launched the Stelvio and the Stelvio Ti as the base and the mid-level models. While the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the finest model of this series. Well, it was launched alongside the standard models.

The Quadrifoglios had always been the finest cars of Alfa Romeo. It is a pretty long history chained with this Quadrifoglio. Initially, they were the race cars. But with time they came into the commercial production. Almost every car from Alfa Romeo has the Quadrifoglio version that defines them as the supreme model of that series. While the engines for the Quadrifoglio are mainly developed by Ferrari.

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio gets 505 good horses to gallop at 443 lb-ft of torque. These are the same performance specifications available in the Giulia’s Quadrifoglio version. Well, this is all because these both cars have the Ferrari F154 in common.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio, a sedan, makes 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds. While, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio, an SUV, launched from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds, just a 0.1 second slower than the sedan. Certainly, it felt like we were comparing two sports cars, the sedans or coupes. But indeed it was like we were comparing a sports SUV, the Sporty-Sports-Utility-Vehicle. Alfa Romeo has certainly created a street pounder rather than the cliff climber.

Well, in a way, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio is a fast SUV. While some say that it is the fastest SUV available today. Certainly, fastest in terms of production vehicle rather than a modified vehicle.

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio gets a poised handling system. Being a Quadrifoglio, it gets the all-wheel-drive and the torque vectoring system. This is the base of good handling and control. Then comes in the adaptive suspension, which is standard, and it makes every road feel like a heaven. Not to forget, the Brembo Ceramic brakes are optional for Stelvio Quadrifoglio.

Exterior:

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio gets the same design, but it gets some attractive cosmetic. Indeed, she is the supreme version of the Stelvio series, then why would not it get the finest exterior design. The Quadrifoglio actual means a four-leaf clover. But the Stelvio Quadrifoglio gets the 20-inch five leaves alloy-rim in black satin. The symbol of the Stelvio Pass is pretty visible in the wheel center. Further, the carbon fiber details have been increased in this car. Along with that, the front bumper gets the additional vents for the 2.9 L twin-turbo V6.

Besides, the lights, the aerodynamics, and the downforce are all the same as the rest of the models of the Stelvio.

Interior:

The interior details of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio are similar to the other cars of this series. The Quadrifoglio features the rich interior details. This includes the premium Italian leather for the seats, Alcantara leather for the accent trim and the contrast stitching.

Though the standard Stelvio is quite comfortable and relaxing. But this upscale version has added more fuel to the luxury. Well, it becomes really hard to deny the prestige of this car. And even it is really hard to deny the stance of an Italian SUV performing as a sports car.

But still, we miss the cargo space in this car. We were unable to pack our stuff for a long test over the Alps.

Features:

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio comes with the 8.8-inch infotainment system as standard. It is a custom designed system with the music play, telephony, Bluetooth stereo and phone connectivity. Navigation is also available, but it is subject to the driving region.

Further, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio gets the 7-inch driver’s cluster display. The performance, stability and the status of the engine are the standard displays available on the cluster.

Safety:

The whole Stelvio series has earned 5-Stars in its road safety test. The credit goes to Alfa Romeo for equipping these cars with finest safety equipment. Ahead of that, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio gets the adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam system, and the lane departure warning. Further, the traction control, electronic brake distribution and the anti-lock braking system comes standard with this car.

Competitors:

Well, we did not understand that why would anyone call Stelvio Quadrifoglio as a fast SUV when we have the Porsche Macan Turbo available. The German breed of cars hardly gets challenged. Same is here, the Macan Turbo has everything the luxury SUV lovers would need. It has performance, beauty, and comfort. Indeed, it is a spectacular car. But our Stelvio Quadrifoglio has got some good guts to challenge it.

Certainly, that is what the Alfa Romeo would say that Stelvio Quadrifoglio moves fast. And indeed, it is a cool car. But there are numerous options available away from it.
