Performance:
The Quattroporte GTS features the most powerful engine in this whole series. It comes with a 3.8 L twin-turbo V8 engine. The Maserati borrowed this engine from Ferrari as well. And this one has also been blessed with tremendous power and incredible performance.
Well, this V8 has 523 horses making 479 lb-ft of torque. In the row of grand tourers, this is specifically an aggressive power ratio. As normally the engine more than 4.0 L usually have this much power. Well, thanks to the twin-turbocharger that it boosted the performance of this car. And thanks to Ferrari for this superb powertrain.
Further, Maserati has matted this engine with the 8-speed ZF 8HP70 automatic transmission. And this is the same transmission system that you would find on the rest of the cars from this series. Well, with all this mechanism, the Quattroporte GTS launches from 0-62 mph within 4.2 seconds. And it knocks 183 mph. While some say that GTS is capable of going beyond 190 mph. But in our tests, she was just able to go above 180 mph.
With all these specs the Quattroporte does compete the Audi’s and Volkswagen’s sports cars. But the Maserati consider it in the competition with the BMW and the Mercedes Benz. Yeah truly by the structure it does compete those giants.
Exterior:
The exterior design of the GTS is the same as the rest of the Quattroporte cars. But there is a slight difference in the interior ingredients. Like the GTS comes with the 21-inch forged alloy wheels, with the basic red brake calipers. Further, it has sporty bumpers with an aggressive feel.
In the aerodynamic, the GTS features Levant’s Nose with the electric air gate that is installed behind the grille. This nose actually is a drag-reducing column. While the rest of the shape is the same.
Interior:
The Maserati Quattroporte GTS is blessed with premium interior ingredients that are mainly optional for the other cars in this series. The premium leather wrapped seats, leatherette steering wheel and gear knobs and the eloquent stitching finish for the seats are some basic ingredients. Further, the armrests are covered with leather and the accent features leather and fiber.
Ahead of that, the Quattroporte GTS has the seating options. You can choose from the sports seats or the Lusso Finesse seats. Further, the seats and accent detailing options enhance the beauty of this car.
Well, four people are easily sit in the Quattroporte GTS including a driver. Practically such big cars carry space for 5. But Maserati has focused more on comfort rather than convenience.
Features:
The 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system is also available for the GTS model. It is the same that you would find the rest of the Quattroporte models. Further, it gets the 7-inch TFT colored driver’s cluster display like the rest of the models. Well, this system features the Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM Radio, Wi-Fi and the 4-G LTE.
The audio system is pretty pleasant in this car. The GTS gets the option for the Bowers & Wilkins Sound System with 15-speakers and a 1280-watt amplifier.
Safety:
The Quattroporte GTS features a handful of safety equipment. For the passive safety, it includes airbags and stretchable seatbelts. Well, you would certainly prefer to get in a bulletproof window for some practical safety.
Further, the active safety packs in the anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution and the adaptive cruise control. The driving dynamics of this car are quite superb. It includes lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning and blind spot monitoring.

Competitors:
The Quattroporte GTS attracts a lot of competition. Especially the V8 tech attracts some superior kind of grand tourers. Well, among the closest competitors you would find the Audi S8. The S8 has a bigger engine but the power rating of both the cars is almost the same. Further, the S8 features a sporty exterior design, while the Quattroporte GTS has just elegance in its structure.
The Quattroporte GTS is a fine grand tourer in a lot of ways. Even it suits the caliber of an executive car. But still, there is a lot that this car should do to reach the top.
