The lowest MSRP of Fiat 500 is $14,995 and has a number of models. Well, the North American models are Pop, Lounge, and Abarth.

Performance:

The Fiat 500 has got a huge list of powertrains. Well this car has a sound engine, a smooth transmission and quick handling. Well, this all begins with the 0.9 L (875 cc) inline-2 twin turbo engine. The standard powertrain has 84 hp. It delivers 107 lb – ft of torque. While a performance machine is even available with 104 hp. The 1 L (964 cc) inline-2 engine has 59 hp at 69 lb – ft of torque to offer. An improved edition is available with the displacement of 1.2 L rated at 68 hp powered by 75 lb – ft of torque.

Next in the list of powertrains is the 1.4 L 99 hp @ 97 lb – ft inline-4 engine. And this engine is even available with the Multiair technology. And this delivers 101 hp of power at 98 lb – ft of torque.

The North American market gets a 1.4 L Turbo Multiair engine with 101 hp @ 250 lb – ft of torque. This is the standard powertrain offered. The North American Abarth gets the same engine but with a different tuning. It has 160 hp of power rated at 170 lb – ft of torque. Most noteworthy is that this is the fastest Abarth which makes the 0 – 62 mph run in 6.6 seconds.

Abarth is offered with the same engine but with slightly different tuning away from North America. It starts from 133 till 200 hp. While the North American Abarth is the fastest model of the Fiat 500.

Outside the North America, Fiat 500 is even offered with diesel drivetrain. As a matter of fact, the drivetrains are powered by 1.3 L Multijet engines with the maximum power of 94 hp rated at 148 lb – ft of torque.

Exterior:

The 500 is pretty cheeky. Fiat 500 is available in hatchback and cabriolet body style. It seems pretty much like the errand runner of 70s. The front has Round headlamps, spherical fog lights, a decent smiling grille and extended side mirrors. The Fiat 500 is pretty honorable for the safety authorities. The IIHS has awarded this beauty with 5 stars and ranked it as the top pick. Well, there are around 7 airbags in Fiat 500.
